Cannot send emails with Attachment in Outlook
Hi,
I am not able to attach files in the emails. I have Ms office 2003 in my system. Normally, I regularly use Outlook to send and receive emails. When I am attaching files and click on the send and receive buttons, it shows the mail is going but taking a very long time. I need to cancel it and start it again. Again it is taking a long time. The size of attachment is around 1.3 mb. It is not a big size. But the mail is working when i send a email without the attachment. Why this so. Help.

Re: Attachements in Outlook not responding
It is possible that some antivirus in your system in blocking your mails. Normally when you send a email the antivirus tools scans it first. Due which it is taking a long time. Disable all the antivirus and firewall programs and try to send it again. Just send one attachment at one time only. And even nothing works do this :
On the left side of outlook express there are multiple folders like Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, etc
Follow the steps on each folder.
Rightclick on the folder > Go to Properties
Ucheck the box " Automotically Generate Microsoft Exchange Views "
Now relaunch your tools and sent the mail again.

Deleting one of the profile can resolve your problem. Always first take a backup of your registry files and then edit it. In case if problem persist at least you can restore your system again. Try the following below steps to delete a profile.
Go to Start Meny > Type Run > In the dialog box type > regedit > OK
Go through the following path :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles
Now click on File Menu > Export
Give a name to the file and export and save it in a desired location.
Now Right click on the profiles and select delete.
Close the Registry Editor.
Now re-configure your account in Outlook Express and send a test mail to check.

Re: Attachements in Outlook not responding
First disable your firewall and Antivirus. Checkout weather your attachments are not corrupted. Try to re-attach the files. If still problem is there delete your accounts and configure it back again. It is also possible that you had exceed the size of your outgoing mail server limit. You can also try to send a compressed file. Compressed your file in .zip or .rar format. It reduces the size of your attachment.
