Find ip of yahoo chat user
Is it possible to find the ip address of a person who is chatting with us? i don't wanna do any misuse just for little fun . Please let me know if you know the trick..

I don't know if there any application available for this, but you can know the ip using the command prompt commands. Use the netstat command. it will give you the Ip addresses,ports and some other stuff that your computer is connected to. Now there are additional commands i don't remember them right now, use the netstat help command to know all options. Hope this will hep you... have fun

Chat user? ? i know how to know the ip of the user that sends you email , you only need to scroll down to the bottom right of the email and click on "Full Headers." The IP address of the sender will be listed. I'll try the trick said by mikey32.

Do the following while chatting with you friend :

Start -> Run -> cmd -> Enter

Then enter a command “netstat –n” or netstat –a” and press enter.

You will see information under Active Connections list of Proto, Local Address, Foreign Address and State. Usually remote port 80 or 81 is used to transfer a file. Remote Port 5050 used for private message. And 5100 used for web cam. And Remote Port 5000 or 5001 used for voice chat.
