Firefox 3.2 Offers Multi-Touch For MacBooks
A newer beta version of Firefox adds multi-touch support, Mozilla has announced. For owners of MacBooks with multi-touch trackpads -- new and old -- Firefox 3.2 beta 2 includes a variety of supported gestures, mainly swipes. Swiping left and right with three fingers will move forward and backward through a browser's history, while swiping up and down will jump to the beginning or end of a page.
Twisting clockwise and counterclockwise cycles through tabs, with the ability to loop around to the first or last tab from either end of the browser. Pinching allows users to zoom in and out of a page, much as in Safari, but with the notable difference of continuous zoom, as opposed to having to zoom one level at a time.

There is a slight difference in the "pinch-to-zoom" gesture though, as it will keep on zooming as you move your fingers, while in Safari the zoom level remains at one per pinch, and will need to be repeated if you want to go beyond that.

As for the "twist-to-switch-tabs" gesture, it works seamlessly, where wrap-around moves you to the last tab while a clockwise tweak rolls you back to the first.
