Greasemonkey scripts safe?
I have downloaded the greasmonkey firefox extension and looking forward to run various scripts, like there is one to delete all the orkut scraps. I wanna know is , is it safe to use the greasmonkey scripts? . hoping some good suggestions..

Yes it safe if you know what script to run and which script to run. scripts are made by different users with different intentions , so make sure first the source from which you get the script is trustful and but personally i'll advice to stay away from all this type of stuffs hence all this can harm your pc.

Greasemonkey uses users scripts to remove ads, change colours, remove copy restrictions and much else. But there's a risk.
From Greasemonkey developer : There's not much you can do beyond what can already be done with XUL and javascript, but it is possible to trash your mozilla and/or firefox profile, and possibly other parts of your system. Unlikely, difficult to do on purpose or maliciously, but it's not a bulletproof utility.

I have had no trouble in using greasemonkey scripts. Firefox extensions created with my Greasemonkey compiler are not vulnerable to the recent Greasemonkey exploit. That's because the compiler doesn't support Greasemonkey's custom GM_* functions.
