HTTP Error 501
Hello, I am using Mozilla Firefox for accessing web pages. Now when I try to access my college website and getting the problem of HTTP 501 error. I have used this site many time before and don't get any sort of error. But, now I am getting this, can anyone tell me why this is happening? How to solve this error.

Hello, if you are getting the Error Code 2273 then it is necessary to check all the constraints. It is rarely happens with the web browser. If you are accessing the documents from the web server which is much more old then you can get this sort of error message on your web browser. If you are specifying the valid request type, then the Web server is either responding incorrectly or it may possible that your server is needed to upgrade.

It may be possible that you are using the method as below which cannot be used to access the documents you want to view.

PUT
TRACE

If you want to solve the problem of your HTTP Error 501 then you must need to follow the steps below:
Just start your Internet Explorer.
Now open the internet options from the tools menu.
You need to Clear the HTTP 1.1 box from the Advanced tab.
Now just press apply and ok.
Exit the Internet explorer and again reload it.

Solution for the HTTP Error 501:
Open your Internet Explorer.
Open the Internet Options.
Now open the Advanced tab.
Here you need to clean the Show friendly HTTP error messages box.
Now press ok to save the changes.
Done.

If you are getting the error of HTTP Error 501 then it means that the page which you want to visit regarding the particular site is not having set up to display the data which you want. To solve this problem Microsoft provides you following steps:
1. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
2. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
3. Click to clear the HTTP 1.1 check box, and then click OK.
4. Test to determine if the issue is resolved. If the issue is resolved, do not complete the remaining steps. If the issue is not resolved, go to the next step.
5. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
6. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
7. Click to clear the Show friendly HTTP error messages check box.
8. Try to view a Web page to reproduce the error message and to receive a new, more descriptive error message. This new error message may be similar to the following:
HTTP version not supported by program name.
Note the name of the program in this new error message.
9. The program name that you noted in step 8 may be the cause of this issue. Either remove this program, or contact the manufacturer of the program to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.
