IE8 close itself after few seconds
Hi,,
I am a Windows Xp Professional user and using Internet Explorer 8 form last couple of weeks. It was working fine till now but from today morning whenever i am trying to open IE8, it gets closed itself after few seconds, i can say after 10 sec. What can be the reason, is it compatible with my system ? or something else ? Please help me.

Re: IE8 close itself after few seconds
Well, i can say that Internet Explorer is compatible with Windows Xp too, but just make sure the minimum system requirements of IE8 met with your system. Its here:-
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
128 MB memory
200 MB Hard Drive Space
Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution monitor with 256 colors.
If you have all these things than i think your problem occurred because the version of Internet Explorer on your computer has become corrupted. You need so reset your IE8. Just go through these steps to reset it:-
Close all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows.
Click Start , and then click Internet Explorer.
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the default settings, click Close, and then click OK two times.
Close Internet Explorer, and then reopen it. The changes take effect the next time that you open Internet Explorer.

Re: IE8 close itself after few seconds
There is no such need to go back to the lower IE version just because of this issue. Just try to run Internet Explorer in 'No Add-Ons' mode. You can do that by going to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons). If it is not yet fixed than the best solution i can suggest you is just uninstall IE and reinstall it again on your system. For some tips, here is how to uninstall IE from Xp:-
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Add or Remove Programs.
Make sure that the Show updates check box is checked.
Click Windows Internet Explorer 8 Release Candidate 1.
Click Remove.
Once done, just download IE8 again, save it anywhere your system, double click and run. Thats it. I am sure you'll get your issue solved.
