The Windows Messenger Service is an unfortunately named component of Windows that cannot be uninstalled on your system. It has nothing to do with Instant Messaging, but it can be safely turned off. Just follow the below steps mention.
Just try to Right Click on My Computer
Then Click on Manage
Then try to Expand the Services & Applications node
Afterwards, Click on Services
Then try to Scroll down to find, and then try todouble click on Messenger
Then on the resulting dialog box, try to set the Startup Type to Disabled.
And at last Click on Stop to stop the service immediately.
Now the Windows Messenger Service will no longer will be seen on your system.

To add this program to your Add/Remove Windows Components list, try to follow the below steps mention:

1) Open C:\WINDOWS\INF\SYSOC.INF on your Notepad or on your favorite text editor.
2) Then try to Locate the [Components] section.
3) Then you need to Change the following line:msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7

And it should be like this one:msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,,7

4) Now you can see Windows Messenger listed on your Program list, and now you can Add/remove the particular program from your Windows Components.
