uninstall mcafee
hi, I need to install the Mcafee program I get through my cable provider. but for that i must uninstall my old version The uninstall froze in the middle and now I can not get into some programs because they are being blocked. When I try to uninstall again, the uninstaller gives me a black screen as well as I get a blank screen when I go to the main menu. Please help. +

hi, to uninstall mcafee open Task Manager, End any running items in the Applications tab.
Go to Task Scheduler (depends on your system where that is but is usually available via Start/All Programs/Administrative Tools) and delete any McAfee tasks.
Save MCPR (in my signature) to your desktop. Boot into "Safe Mode with Networking" reached by tapping F8 repeatedly while booting up.
Run MCPR in Safe Mode, it should complete this time.
If this is not successful we need more information.
