Re: The Walking Dead Game Crashing Randomly
Ok i have seen lots of issue behind crashing and first of I would like to suggest you to install BIOS, Driver, and Windows/DirectX Updates and then test your issue. Below are steps to install BIOS, Driver, and Windows/DirectX Updates:

Windows update:
Go to start and after that make click on control panel.
Now on the control panel Depending on which Control Panel view you utilize, Classic or Category:
Click on System and after that go to the automatic update tab.
Click on Performance and Maintenance, click System and then select Automatic Updates tab.
Now on automatic tab make update your windows and before this make sure you have turned off the Automatic Updates.

Update DirectX:
To download and install latest DirectX you need to go through this site (click here to download latest DirectX). Once you finish downloading and after that install the DirectX on your machine.

Update Your Drivers:
To install the latest driver for display and video card you need to go to the official website of card which you have although before this I would like to suggest you to go through below steps, this steps is to check version of drivers currently installed on your system before installing latest driver:
Go to start and after that make click on run
On run type: dxdiag and after that make click on the ok button. Now you will get the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and this will system tab by default.
Now go to display tab and on upper left corner is a box named Device. Here first three lines about Name, Manufacturer, and Chip Type of your video and on Upper right-hand corner of this tab for a box named Drivers has video driver Version number, and the third is the Date of release. Now just close these windows and after that go to the official website of video card and display card and after that look for the latest updated for your card and install on your system.
Update Your Motherboard's BIOS:
Go to the official website of your BIOS and install the latest updated.
I hope above steps will help you to troubleshoot your issue..

Re: The Walking Dead Game Crashing Randomly
Even I have gone through this issue and I have tried below Basic Troubleshooting and this has been helped me to solve mine issue, so I would like to recommend you go to through Basic Troubleshooting steps to solve your issue:
Check the Minimum System Requirements
First of all make sure your system have enough of System Requirements to run this game:
The Minimum System Requirements The Walking Dead Game
OS: XP Service Pack 3 / Vista / Windows 7
CPU: 2.0 GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent
GPU: ATI or NVidia card w/ 512 MB RAM (Not recommended for Intel integrated graphics)
HDD: 2 GB of Free hard disk space
RAM: 3 GB
DX: Direct X 9.0c
AUDIO: Direct X 9.0c sound device
The Walking Dead Recommended System Requirements
OS: XP Service Pack 3 / Vista / Windows 7
CPU: Core 2 Duo 2GHz or equivalent
GPU: ATI or NVidia card w/ 1024 MB RAM (Not recommended for Intel integrated graphics)
HDD: 2 GB of free hard disk space
RAM: 3 GB
Verify Your Game Cache Files:
You may get this issue due to game cache file corruption and so therefore I would like to suggest you to perform Verify Game Cache Files and after that let me know: to perform Verify Game Cache Files you need to launch steam and after then go to Library section. Now on Library section make right click on game and select Properties from the menu. On properties choose the Local files tab and select the Verify integrity of game cache option. This will take some time to finish, when you complete the process just restart the game again.
Background Applications and Anti-Virus/Security Software:
I have seen must of the player causing issue due to the Background Applications and Anti-Virus/Security Software and so therefore this is very important. If your system running with several Background Applications might face this issue and so therefore it’s necessary to remove all unwanted process from background and after that re launch game. To close unwanted process you can go to task manger or through system configuration utility you can remove and disable unwanted programs. To run system configuration utility windows you need to go through the below steps: go to start and after that make click run. Now on run type: MSCONFIG and after that make click on ok button. Now here click on Selective Startup button and under that Uncheck the Load Startup items (or Load Startup Group items) box. Now go to service tab and after that check Hide all Microsoft services and then make click on disable all button. Once you finish everything just save the setting and after that reboot the system when prompted.
There are certain antivirus like AVG 7.5, Nod32 and Norton causing the Steam and Source Engine games. So therefore if you have installed above antivirus then disable it and run your game.

Test System Memory:
Run a Memory Test
If the problem persists, please download Memtest86 and run it down. It is a RAM test program with which you can determine whether your problem is caused by a damaged or incorrectly configured memory bars. RAM module, which turns out to be defective must be replaced.
Check Your RAM Timings
Make sure that the timing and the latency of your RAM in your BIOS are set correctly. Please contact technician to update the motherboard BIOS and motherboard drivers to latest version, if you're not familiar with your system BIOS.

Advanced System Configuration Recommendations:
These recommendations are for advanced users - Please do not make any changes to your system BIOS until you have familiarized yourself with the documentation for your motherboard manufacturer.
Disable Fast Writes
If you are using an AGP 8x capable motherboard with an AGP 8x-capable graphics card, make the connection to 4x
Test the AGP Aperture size or Graphics Windows Size at 128 MB and 256 MB
Disable the "shadowing" - or "Memory Hole" options
Disable the "Video BIOS caching" option
Set the AGP Driving Mode to "Auto"
Set the AGP voltage to 1.6V

If you crash your game should continue after you have followed all troubleshooters error, you need to contact Steam Support for further assistance.
