Automatic backup online
Hello

I want to know if there is software that automatically send folders / files to a personal web space. An operation of type Time machine to the web but not to a HD.

With Internet connections to broadband, it is now possible to backup critical data to a business without technical knowledge and without having to invest in hardware (tape drive, etc..). The backup services online based on software - installed in just a few clicks on each client - which collects, compresses and encrypts files before sending them "away" on a remote server. If necessary (disk crash, change PC ...), just reinstall the client software to restore all data. One example is WinBackup of Alpha Backup .

Have you tried with iBackup? It allows the online backup, iBackup backup your folders and files on demand or programming. You can create profiles for saving as system preferences, or use as your wallpaper, your dock, firewall settings VLC, etc. ...iBackup can run scripts to start and / or end of the backup.

Before going for any solution consider that, the the solution must then have some essential features to be selected: automatic daily backup to a time specified by the user to limit manipulation, compression and encryption of files before saving to reduce transfer times and ensure the confidentiality of data, placing updated incrementally (only changes are stored), filtering rules to back up files, managing multiple versions of a saved file (versioning), can define several sets of backup or profiles based on business needs , automatic backup of an entire network of computers, and finally an easy to use, even for non computer scientists.

AGS Backup
I use the AGS Backup Connected, Automatic backup (differential and block), file compression, transfer and safe storage (128 bits), partial or total restoration, filter selection, five versions available for each file for 45 days detention in case of cancellation.
