Could not initialize the browser's security component
Hi,
Whenever I open Firefox, I get error message : Could not initialize the browser's security component. It still pops up again when I restart my browse I do not see any problem with the directory. What could be wrong with the profile directory?

In the Windows XP, Login in an administrator account, start Explorer, go to Tools, click on Folder Options, under View, scroll to the bottom. It is necessary for the uncheck box, Use simple file sharing. Once you disabled SFS, then you will be to find the folder whose contents you want to change, right click it, go in Properties, then under Security, give the necessary permissions to the user or group.

Check the permissions of the file in your profile folder. Cert8.db The file name should not be read-only.
1. Open the profile folder in Windows Explorer.
2. Right click on the file called cert8.db.
3. Select Properties. A dialog will appear.
4. Go to the General tab.
5. Make sure the Read Only check box is not checked.
6. Click OK.
Restart Firefox and the problem can be fixed.

It also seems to work when you rename the profile directory and then edit the profiles.ini the point at the correct profile directory. Somehow, disable all add-ons, but when for example, uninstall some add-on and ring and restart the browser, everything works fine again. That seems to be much easier.
