How to use Labels in Gmail
I am in need of some help from you all guys. I get around 100 official mails in my Gmail inbox that is my default email client. Whenever i need to go with all mails sent by any particular sender i need to search each and every mail which is very annoying. I heard about the label feature of Gmail but don't know how to use the same. Could you guys please make me know how to create and use this Gmail label ? Thanks in advance,

Labels are very important for the user who need to work with bulk of mails as well. These labels work like a folder because it allows you to view all messages with that label by searching, or by clicking the label name. You can simply create it from your Gmail Settings. Just login to your Gmail account with your ID ans Passowrd and click settings on the top right corner of the window. Now select Labels tab. Scroll down and you will get the option to "create new label". Just create the a new with the desired name.

You can delete this label in case you dont need it by clicking on the drop down check box menu on the left side of your Gmail inbox. Its very simple.

Re: How to use Labels in Gmail
To apply a label to a message, you can select the checkbox next to the message(s) in question, and then select the label name from the Labels drop-down menu (or you can label a single message while you're reading it by using the drop-down menu or the keyboard shortcut L). You can also drag a message to a label's name to move that message to a label.

Any selected messages will automatically be categorized under your new label. If you'd like to keep organized, you can remove a labeled conversation from your inbox by archiving it and view it later by clicking All Mail, or by clicking the label name along the left side of any Gmail page.

You can also rename, color or hide your labels easily from the down-arrow to the left of that label. If you rename your any label, all messages that are categorized under your old label name will now be categorized under your new label. To move any message into a label you first had to apply the label using the "More actions" menu or the keyboard shortcut "v" and then click "Archive."

Keyboards shortcuts are really useful to work fast and save time. Before using these shortcuts you need to enable them from your Gmail settings. Login toyour Gmail account and go to Settings. Now tick the check box next to option 'Keyboard shortcuts on' and save the settings.

Now go through the complete list of Gmail Keyboard Shortcuts.
